The Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival has been an annual event since 2005, and the festival returns for its 13th year on 26th and 27th September 2020. The two-day festival attracts over 40,000 people to the picturesque town of Holmfirth and this year promises to be another jam-packed weekend. Expect streets lined with tasty, quality produce, talented local musicians, entertainment for all the family, and one huge feast for your eyes…and stomachs of course!

Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival is a plastic clever festival, meaning all takeaways items (including cups and cutlery) must be made from recycled materials – single use plastic and polystyrene will NOT be allowed. Please find an alternative for plastic straws, plastic drinks bottles, and all takeaway containers. The festival team will be running social media competitions to celebrate re-use and re-cycle throughout the festival. We thank all traders for their support with this!
 

For this year’s festival fairandfunky are back! They are once again transforming Holmfirth Market Hall into a family food zone that will showcase local, Fairtrade and ethical businesses. The area will be a lively, engaging and interactive zone of the festival with live music and competitions for all the family.  Applications for the fairandfunky family food zone open in May 2020, please visit www.­fairandfunky.­com for more details.

All the food stalls will be open 10am – 6pm on both days, and the stalls in Towngate (by Holmfirth bus station) will be open until 8pm on Saturday.

The team behind the festival is made up of a mix of local business owners and volunteers.  Food Festivals Ltd have been commissioned to work with the Festival team to put on the event.  If you would like to join the festival team get in touch!

Whether you are a serious foodie, a real ale connoisseur, or someone who is just looking for a great day out, there is something for everyone at the Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival.

 

We will only accept bookings for both days. 

Deposit scheme - please ensure you click on the deposit button on the payment screen to only pay 50% on acceptance and the balance in July 2020.

We provide overnight security during the event (Fri (Towngate) Sat - Sun).  Whilst we do everything we can to minimise any loss or damage to all the site, the exhibitor still remains responsible for any loss, damage, theft or destruction of any exhibit, goods, property or equipment during the set-up and event days. 

If your application is successful, exhibitors will be charged a damage deposit fee.  This fee is £100 and will be payable upon acceptance of your pitch and will be invoiced separately.  At the end of the festival, if your pitch is given back to us in a reasonable state, your damage deposit will be returned the following week via BACS.

Exhibit

Food Festivals Ltd have been engaged to look after all valued traders and the trader packages below will fall under their experienced team. 

The following documents are required when applying for this event (where relevant)

1.  Public Liability (a minimum of £5 million for all exhibitors except craft where we will accept £2m

2.  Risk Assessment

3.  Gas safety certificates (if using gas)

5.  Environmental Health rating (FSA or equivalent, minimum 4*)

6.  Gas pressure test certificates (Coffee providers only)

Please note:  the map attached is for information only and is the 2019 exhibitor map which will change for 2020.  The boxes in green are the areas where the trading areas for exhibitors.

Alcohol consumption providers:  If you have selected an area that is not Towngate (Premium), but wish to sell alcohol from your pitch, a further £200 fee is applicable.  This fee will be invoiced separately once your application has been secured.
