Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival: 14th - 15th September 2024

Known to attract over 45,000 visitors to the picturesque town of Holmfirth, the Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival will be celebrating its 17th year in 2024, and expectations are high for yet another jam-packed weekend… expect streets lined with quality produce, talented local musicians, family entertainment, and a scrumptious feast for your eyes (and stomachs, of course)!

Whether you are a serious foodie, a real ale connoisseur, or just looking for a great day out, there is something for everyone at the Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival.

Opening times are as follows:

Saturday 14th September – food stalls and children's entertainment will be operational 10am – 6pm, with stalls in Towngate (by Holmfirth Bus Station) open until 8pm.

Sunday 15th September – trading hours are 10am – 5pm for all exhibitors.

We provide overnight security during the event, with additional security in place on Friday 13th September for stallholders in Towngate.  Whilst we do all we can to minimise loss or damage on-site, exhibitors remain responsible for any loss, damage, theft or destruction of any exhibit, goods, property or equipment during the set-up and event days.

As Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival is a plastic-conscious festival, all takeaway items – including cups and cutlery – must be made from recycled materials. Please find an alternative for plastic straws, plastic drinks bottles, and all takeaway containers, as single-use plastic and polystyrene will not be allowed.

As in 2023, we have excluded the £100 refuse/damage deposit fee that we typically charge upon application. We have done this as a gesture of goodwill, to enable all who wish to apply to the Festival to do so without added financial stress.
We hope that you will continue to look after the site and leave it as you find it. If we find this to not be the case, we will unfortunately have to exclude you from exhibiting at any future events we hold.

The team behind the Festival is made up of a mix of local business owners and volunteers. Food Festivals Ltd has been commissioned to work with the Festival team to put on the event.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • We only accept bookings for both days, and applications will be selected by the Festival Committee on 9th May 2024. We will write to you shortly thereafter to either confirm or reject your application. No money or deposits will be taken until approximately 17th May 2024
  • Deposit Scheme: If you wish to partake in this, please click the ‘Deposit’ button on the payment screen. This will permit you to pay 50% upon acceptance of your application, with the balance to be taken in August 2024.
