  • You will be required to provide a copy of your insurance certificate as part of the application process.

2. Risk Assessment

  • All exhibitors must submit a Risk Assessment outlining potential hazards associated with your stall or business and the steps you will take to mitigate those risks.
  • This is a key health and safety requirement and helps ensure the safety of both traders and customers.

3. Street Food Vendors

  • If you are a street food vendor, you must be fully registered with your local council’s Environmental Health Department. Proof of registration will be required upon application.
  • Your stall and equipment must meet all food hygiene standards and must be clean, well-maintained, and set up in accordance with all relevant food safety regulations.
  • You must ensure that all necessary food handling equipment is available, including things like food-grade storage containers, utensils, and any other tools required to operate your stall safely.
  • A valid Food Hygiene Rating certificate is required, and vendors must have the appropriate certification in food safety.
  • ENSURE ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS ARE UPLOADED WITHIN THE OTHER DOCUMENTS AND IMAGES AREA UNDER THE INSURANCE DETAILS ON THE APPLICATION FORM. MS WORD AND PDF WORK WELL. If you have uploaded these before, just check (tick) the boxes next to the documents/images you want to send us.

4. Product Quality and Presentation

  • We aim to offer a curated selection of high-quality products and services at Quayside Market. All traders should provide items that are professionally presented, well-crafted, and of the highest standard.
  • Street food vendors should ensure their food is prepared and served with attention to cleanliness and presentation to meet the expectations of our customers.

5. Compliance with Local Regulations

  • Traders must comply with all local laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to their business and the products they sell, including licensing requirements for selling food, alcohol, or other regulated goods.
  • If applicable, traders must have the appropriate permits or licenses to trade at the market.

6. Sustainability and Waste Management

  • We encourage traders to consider sustainability in their business practices. This includes minimizing single-use plastics, managing waste responsibly, and using eco-friendly materials where possible.
  • Traders must adhere to the waste management procedures set by the event organisers, ensuring that their stall is kept clean and tidy throughout the event.

By meeting these requirements, you will help us maintain a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment for all market-goers. If you have any questions or need assistance with the application process, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
