St Catherines Hospice

Details of products sold: The Mill Cafe at St Catherine's Park opened in 2014 as an innovative fundraising tool for St Catherine’s Hospice. The cafe offers a varied, healthy menu, and we pride ourselves in using only local ingredients from Lancashire suppliers and growers. The Mill Outside is the outside catering service of The Mill Cafe. We provide a catering service to private events such as weddings and birthdays, as well as corporate events such as meetings and conferences. Additionally, we have catered at large scale public events such as Leyland Festival, Royal Lancashire Agricultural Show, Garstang Show (where we were awarded the tender for all staff hospitality) as well as our own fundraising events such as Symphony at the Tower, Yellow Day etc. We are varied and versatile with the food offerings we exhibit at large events, not pigeon-holing in to one specific item. Previously we have exhibited Paella, Chilli, Barbeque, Curry, Lancashire Hot Pot, Salad, Afternoon Tea, Homemade Cakes, Hog Roasts etc. For Clitheroe Food Festival, subject to power availability, we would like to exhibit our Homemade Lancashire Hot Pot with a vegetarian alternative such as Butter Pie or Vegetable Hot Pot. Our Hot Pot is a traditional Lancashire recipe using diced Bowland Lamb from Brendan Anderton Butchers in Longridge, and a sliced potato top, accompanied by pickled red cabbage. We'd also like to offer Homemade Traybakes for sale, which are baked by the hospice's in-house Patisserie Chef. All profits raised through The Mill Outside go to supporting the specialised palliative care of St Catherine's Hospice.
